What is Lessn?

Lessn is a lesson planning tool built around one idea: that good teaching starts with clear thinking, and clear thinking deserves a clear tool.

Most lesson planners are either too rigid or too open. Templates feel like forms. Blank documents feel like starting from scratch. Lessn sits in between — structured enough to guide, open enough to think.

The problem with planning

Teachers plan constantly. Before every class, every week, every unit. But the tools they use — usually a mix of Google Docs, PDFs, and institutional systems — weren't designed for the creative, iterative work that good planning actually is.

Lessn is designed from the ground up for how teachers actually think when they plan: by starting with what students should be able to do, then working backward to how they'll get there.

What it does

• Reusable components — activities, assessments, and materials that can be used across lessons
• Clarity-first editing — a writing experience designed to reduce friction

Who it's for

Lessn is built for teachers who care about the quality of their planning but feel let down by the tools available to them. It is especially useful for new teachers building routines and experienced teachers refining them.

Status

Lessn is in active development. We are designing the core planning experience and will begin testing with teachers later this year.
